Ingredients:
1 lbs shrimp
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 lemon juice
Oil to saute
Dough:
2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 stick butter room temperature
1/2 tbsp salt
water to knead
Salsa:
1 avocado
1 tsp lemon juice
10 slices of hot pickled jalapeno with 3 tbsp juice
3 garlic cloves
pinch of cumin
Cilantro handful
Salt
Toppings:
It is your choice. I used purple cabbage and cilantro
Directions:
In a bowl combine shrimp with chili powder, cumin, turmeric, ginger garlic, garam masala, lemon juice and salt. Let it marinate for 15 to 30 mins. Then in a pan heat oil and saute the shrimp. once the shrimp curl up take it off the heat.
For Dough:
Combine flour, salt and butter and knead it properly to combine the butter. Then add in water little at a time and form a soft dough. Keep it in a air tight container and let it rest for 10 mins. After 10 mins take the dough and make small ball and roll it out. Then heat a pan and cook both side until brown patches appear. Keep it aside until ready to build the tacos.
Salsa:
In a blender combine avocado, lemon juice, jalapeno pickle, garlic cloves, cumin, cilantro and salt. Blend it all together. If too thick add in more jalapeno pickle juice to loosen it.
Building Taco:
To build the taco take the mini tortillas add shrimp and layer it with toppings of your choice. Then drizzle with avocado salsa. With the help of toothpick keep your tacos closed.
Keep repeating the process and build all your tacos for upcoming event or party.
