Shiby's Spice Box: My name is Shiby George. My very first cooking attempt was in 3rd grade when I was in India. I was hungry and thought of making puri all by myself. I found the dough in the fridge and proceeded to the kitchen. I had seen my mom make it in the past and decided I can do it to. I somehow rolled the dough into small roti and tossed it into hot oil. The oil splashed on my face. Little did i know I was supposed to gently drop it in the oil. I rushed to the bathroom and washed my face with cold water. Thankfully nothing extreme happened. After this incident I took 2 years break. Then when I was in 5th grade parents went to Punjab. Late night my brother came and said lets make chicken curry. I had never done this but wanted to give it a try. So, me and my brother whipped up an awesome chicken curry with almonds and what not. After that I picked up on it when I came to US. I would end up making snacks for church youth. Slowly I found my self making more complicated dishes and getting better at it. Honestly the credit goes to my mom. She is an awesome cook and I got the skills from her. I enjoy cooking and feeding my friends and family. Thank you all for the love and support.
